Normafa Research Center has officially launched a collaboration with Rumah BUMN as a local partner to advance financial literacy programs aimed at empowering Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in Indonesia. The initiative comes in response to research findings highlighting the pivotal role of financial education and personal innovativeness in bridging the gap between intention and usage of Fintech services. By focusing on practical skills and knowledge, the program seeks to accelerate the adoption of digital finance tools and expand financial inclusion across urban and rural communities.
The collaboration integrates a research-based approach with an extensive grassroots network, ensuring that financial literacy programs are accessible and relevant to MSMEs such as fish farmers. Activities include workshops on financial management, hands-on training with digital payment and microloan platforms, as well as mentorship programs designed to strengthen MSMEs’ readiness to access formal financial services. Through these initiatives, both organizations aim to address long-standing barriers such as limited financial knowledge, lack of trust in Fintech, and challenges in digital adoption.
